Please read the tips below to help you to prepare for a great day!
On Saturday, July 25 from 5-7 pm, Saints & Patriots will be held on the grounds of WIHS, 1933 South Main Street (Route 17), in Middletown.
Right now, the weather forecast is looking good: mid-80s, partly cloudy with low humidity. We’re watching the weather closely, and will make the “final” call about whether we stay with Saturday or move to our rain date on Sunday, July 26 from 5-7 pm.
To symbolize and reflect God’s free gift of salvation by grace through faith in Christ, parking and admission are free.
We have “unlimited” capacity (for as many as 2,100 souls and 340 vehicles), so bring family, friends, neighbors, fellow church members and co-workers!
About Parking
As you pull into our main entrance, a police officer with cruiser will be on-site for traffic control and security.
We will also have volunteers in “Saints & Patriots” T-shirts and bright vests to guide you to your parking place.
We have a limited number of paved parking spots near the station. Most of our parking is on GRASS.
The grass driveways to the parking lots will be lined with orange cones. The grass parking lots will be staked and taped with yellow tape. Please park in designated areas only.
Once you park, you may unload and walk down the hill into the amphitheater and pick your own spot!
About Preparing
Please PRAY for God’s Favor upon this event! Please pray for good weather! Please pray for volunteers! Please pray for all of the logistics and expenses! Please pray for safety! Please pray for all who will be traveling! Please pray that many souls will come and be inspired, comforted and encouraged! Please pray that we will worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth! Please pray for souls to be saved! Please pray that the Lord will be lifted up high in Connecticut through all that we do!
At the outdoor venue, which is a sloped pasture-like field surrounded by trees, guests will be facing WEST, so the sun will be setting “at” you. We encourage you to COME PREPARED as you would if you were going to the beach or to any outdoor festival.
–If you prefer some shelter, bring a beach umbrella that you can post in the ground or a 10×10 popup tent with stakes.
–Protect your head, eyes and body: bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
–In case you get sweaty, bring a towel.
–We treated the field professionally to minimize bugs, but it would be wise to bring bug spray or a hand-held tennis racket-style bug zapper as back-ups.
–Bring folding chairs and/or blankets.
–Bring your own sandwiches and snacks.
–Bring your non-alcoholic beverages (water, soda, iced teas).
–Bring your cooler. Remember that you will need to walk from the parking area down the hill a bit to the amphitheater area, so use a small shoulder-mounted cooler, a cooler with handle(s) or a cooler with a handle and wheels!
–Bring a few Band-Aids and ointment for minor scrapes or cuts. (The WIHS tent will also serve as a First Aid station.)
While you’re on-site, be sure to visit the WIHS tent to meet staff, take program guides, gospel tracts, pens, window clings, bumper stickers, bracelets etc., and sign up for our popular e-newsletter.
About Giving
People may listen to WIHS and come to this event for “free.” If you are led by the Holy Spirit to support us financially, we will have QR Code lawn signs located in the Ampitheater which you can use to give online.
We will also have opportunities to donate at the WIHS tent by cash, check, credit or debit card.

About Refreshments on-site
Because this is a first-ever event, we had no track record of attendance, and our event is during a peak summer weekend, none of the established, health department-approved food trucks were available to sell foods and beverages on-site. Perhaps they will be on-site in the future as we continue to roll out the Ampitheater!
If you can’t bring any refreshments, or you run out, thanks to a Thrivent Action Team grant, WIHS will have a limited supply of free bottled waters and snacks at the WIHS tent.
The KONA ICE VAN will also be on-site so you can buy and add/mix flavors of shaved ice.
