For many years, we’ve suggested Matching Gifts and, occasionally, we’ve had people and organizations contact us to set up their anonymous Matching Gift program.
In recent years, the most effective Matching Gift programs have been in conjunction with our annual Faith Sharing telethon fundraiser. Our 2025 Faith Sharing generated many thousands of dollars in “extra” donations through Matching Gifts.
In April, WIHS is running a special Matching Gift program thanks to a generous, anonymous donor who has offered to provide a matching gift of up to $7,500 toward the $15,000 purchase of equipment that will enable us to broadcast “live” from off-site events. Our goal is to raise the funds in April, buy and get the equipment in May, conduct training in June, and do our first remote broadcast in July.
