Dear WIHS Friends:
Think about all of the Christians you know. Every single one is made in God’s image and is a beautiful testimony of God’s creative hand and amazing grace.
Very likely, among the people you think of, some are what might be described as “special.” They have a particular Holy Spirit anointing, gifting, presence, passion and faith-filled witness about them that influences and impacts others in a consistently profound way.
Such a person is Anissa Porticelli, our Faith & Ministry News Director, On-Air Announcer and member of our Keynote Speaking Team.
We are saddened to announce that, after a series of health issues, Anissa went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 8.
We are also overjoyed that her days of pain and travail are over, and that she is now with her Lord and Savior for eternity. Absent from the body, present with the Lord.
Anissa’s memorial service will be held this coming Monday, April 13 at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main Street in Waterbury. Viewing hours will be from 4 – 6 pm, followed by a service from 6 – 7 pm. Click this link to the funeral home website, where her obituary is posted.
We praise God for Anissa Porticelli and we pray for her family, friends and the entire WIHS community as we process her departure. She truly was a special Christ-follower whose ripple effect has been and will continue to be huge. She will be missed immensely.
We can practically hear Jesus saying, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Master.”
