–Unique Networking Ministry Expo will run from 4:30 to 6:15 pm with displays by a fascinating mix of about 30 Connecticut-based ministries, complemented by live instrumental music by The Bennett Family and awesome appetizers! If your ministry hasn’t signed up for display space, now’s the time!
–Opening Praise & Worship at 6:15 pm by the new In His Service (IHS) Praise Band, with the song “Your Grace is Enough” led by Susanne Vacek. This band is a new aspect of our ongoing community engagement!
–Opening Invocation / Prayer by Heather Spada with TruthWorks in Manchester.
–Delicious Family Style Banquet at 6:30 pm emceed by Gerry Williams, our Community News Director and co-host of the Morning Cheer weekday drive-time show. The banquet features round tables of ten for outstanding conversations and networking, complemented by WIHS-compiled instrumental dinner music!
–Encouraging WIHS Updates shared by Drew Crandall, President of Connecticut Radio Fellowship, recapping the past year and vision-casting for the future! Meet many of our staff and Board members, as well as our recent summer high school news department interns.
–Inspiring Keynote Address by Thomas and Deborah Berrill with the Institute of Connecticut History in Bristol, who will share fascinating, little-known insights on Connecticut’s rich Christian heritage. Throughout the year, the Berrills give tours of Connecticut’s State Capitol and State Library. God’s fingerprint has been and continues to be on this beautiful little State big-time! You will be very encouraged as you learn about our remarkable, Godly legacy and how God can use this foundation to stir revival today!
–Heartwarming, Life-Changing Testimonies shared by Robin Hansen, our enthusiastic Office Manager, of how the Lord is using WIHS to minister to listeners in profound ways!
–A Gentle “Ask” for Financial Partnerships by Matt Harper, our General Manager, with an opening message by Sheila Kimball, Northeast Area Leader for the National Day of Prayer Task Force. Since 2019, our banquet is an important fall fundraiser. God willing, we will finish our 2025 Fiscal Year strong as a solid springboard into 2026!
–Upbeat Closing Song led by the booming voice of Rev. Christopher Adams, the “Singing Chaplain,” who will wrap up the Gala by leading us in “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” the very first song that aired on WIHS at 12 noon on October 11, 1969.
–Closing Benediction / Prayer at 9:15 pm by Rev. Bruce Fletcher of Bethel Christian Church in West Hartford.
–The Ministry Expo reopens from 9:15 to 9:30 pm in case you’d like to return to displays and grab some information before you go home!
The Aqua Turf Club is centrally located in Southington, with good access from I-84, I-684, and I-91. It is one of Connecticut’s most popular and nicest event venues. Suggested dress is semi-formal or formal. It’s a great night out for a great cause!
