The music mix at WIHS is often described as “eclectic”, not to be confused with “electric” – even though the latter is needed to produce the former!
Recognizing there are many different “musical tastes” in the WIHS listening audience, nearly 20 years ago, WIHS former Music Director, Halena Sajko, created a solid hour of a single style of Christian music for broadcast on Saturday afternoons, from 4 to 5PM
The program is called Spectrum of Sound and is a great time to hear and appreciate a single style of music!
If you like “Gospel” music, be sure and tune in on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month. These hours are presented by Morning Cheer Host, Gerry Williams!
On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, “Southern Gospel” is featured, and is hosted by long-time WIHS Announcer, Jack Pike! You can always go to our YouTube channel if you want to hear Southern Gospel Spectrum of Sound HERE
These hours include special songs of each genre that are not normally played on WIHS!
If there is a 5th Saturday, Neil Knudsen produces a Spectrum of Sound featuring Praise & Worship music!
