From September 18 through September 28, Wellspring will be hosting a 10 Days of Prayer gathering under a 2,000 square foot tent in our parking lot!!  —   Worship and prayer around the clock during the Ten Days of Awe from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur.     —   Seeking the Lord in repentance and focused intercession.     —   Crying out to God for ourselves, our state and our nation during these multiple, ongoing crises that have overtaken our country.

Each evening of the 10 Days we will be led in worship by a team from eleven different churches (including Wellspring).  —   These meetings, from 7:00-9:00 PM will also feature an exhortation from various leaders around our state (Luis Burgos, Lance Bane, Matt Rudolph, Gabrielle Beam to name a few).  And there will be times of corporate prayer for the church, state and nation.

We will also have smaller meetings at 7:00 AM and 12:00 pm each day.  These gatherings will be built around communion, worship and prayer.

The rest of the time will be “covered” by worship and prayer leaders who will lead watches through the day and night.  You are invited—urged—to come any time day or night and join in.

Throughout this initiative we will seek to follow CDC protocols for the health and safety of all who attend.  There will be spaced seating under the open-air tent; and you are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs if you wish to sit around the perimeter of the tent.  We take the need for safety seriously.

But, we also believe that our nation is facing issues and challenges that are even greater than this covid pandemic.  We are in a season of crisis and the church needs to respond by coming before the Lord in humility, repentance and serious prayer.  We need forgiveness as a people for a multitude of sins.  We need justice to be established on many fronts.  We need healing for many historical wounds and current divisions.  We need the Lord to move in an outpouring of his Spirit that leads to revival and the reformation of our culture and restoration to ways that lead to life.

“Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.”  Rend your heart and not your garment.  Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from calamity.  Who knows?  He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing . . .  Joel 2:12,13 Who knows . . . ?  Let’s seek the Lord and find out!
