Capitol Prayer Team Honorary Luncheon
State Capitol, Hartford
Wednesday, April 9, 2014
State Senator Michael A. McLachlan hosted a luncheon in appreciation of The Capitol Prayer Team, those who faithfully pray at the State Capitol for the members in our State Government. The WIHS Office Staff was very blessed to join with the Senator and 25 powerful prayer warriors at the luncheon.
Senator McLachlan is from the Twenty-Fourth Senate District, serves on several committees, and is the Deputy Minority Leader of the CT State Senate.
Senator McLachlan says: "I would like to take the time to thank you for your volunteerism here at the Capitol. I find your work to be very thoughtful and comforting, knowing that there are wonderful people such as yourself who take the time to say a prayer on both my behalf and for everyone here in the building. Your volunteer work means a lot to us here..."
You certainly don't have to travel to Hartford to pray for our State Government - but ... if you would like to join up with others in this powerful mission field at the State Capitol, contact Lucy Snow at firstname.lastname@example.org. Perhaps you have heard Lucy interviewed on WIHS for her role in the Capitol Prayer Team. She has been a part of this ministry for years, and knows some of the "ins & outs" of praying at our State Seat of Government.
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all goodness and holiness.
This is good, and pleases God our Savior..."
