WIHS is a non-profit, listener supported, Christian radio station. The content of our broadcasts is Christ-centered ministry and music designed to be faithful to the Bible. WIHS radio's programming is heard on 104.9 FM in and around Connecticut, and world-wide at www.wihsradio.org.
Assistant to the Chief Engineer (part-time)
Responsibilities include helping to install, upgrade and/or repair RF and audio broadcast systems and associated equipment. Also helping to maintain Windows-based computer systems and network equipment. Familiarity with Enco DAD automation and AMBOS audio delivery systems is a plus. Board Operator (part-time)
Responsibilities include operating the Stations main Control Board to insure proper on-time, on-air broadcast operations at WIHS. Specific duties include live newscasts, weather reports, and selecting music for WIHS listeners. Familiarity with Enco DAD automation is a plus. Previous experience in broadcast activities is beneficial, however individuals who have capable skills/aptitudes/interests will also be considered. Approximately 40 hours of training will be provided. Work schedules are primarily 4 or 8 hour shifts (weekly to monthly) from Friday night through Sunday evening.
